SUNDAY MAY 13th 2018 – 9am-12pm
113 Left Bank Rd, Mullumbimby NSW 2482

Celebrating Mums & restoring habitat for threatened species!

This year will see another 1000 trees planted by the Mullum Music Festival and it’s team of wonderful sustainability collaborators & supporters.

Enjoy free live music, with Brunswick Valley Landcare providing coffee, tea, drinks and a delicious BBQ brunch for a gold coin donation.

The site is located at 113 Left Bank Rd, Mullumbimby (left hand side), a special location with the planting of trees for all mums, past, present and future.

Planting starts at 9am, music and refreshments until 12pm.

*Bring drinking water and wear gloves, long sleeves, long pants and protective shoes (gumboots if wet). Prepare for wet weather!

Trees will be provided and laid out ready for planting at the site. Parking is along Left bank Rd and Melaleuca Drive.

Previous plantings were held at the Mullumbimby Community Gardens, Mullumbimby ‘Horse paddock’ and Showgrounds, Durrumbal Hall, Left Bank Road and Tyagarah Crown lands.

So, come and join landowners, land carers and land users to plant 1000 threatened fauna (koalas, gliders and other critters) food and shelter plants to provide much-needed habitat and restore a paperbark swamp.

Volunteers from Brunswick Valley Landcare are assisting with organisation of food and with the planting of the trees. The local community is helping with site preparation for planting, organic mulch and organisation. Byron Shire Council and Environmental Trust are assisting with equipment, plants and communications under the Byron Habitat Corridors project.
