What’s The Market Like?
It’s the best I have seen since 2006.
During May our team at BBFN sold 19 properties ranging from $260,000 to $1,958,000 across a range of suburbs and communities.
Why is the market so strong right now?
In short it is because there are more buyers than sellers in our region right now which is great if you are thinking of selling, but challenging if you are trying to buy. Buyers need the best information they can get to educate themselves and we are happy to provide it.
The average days on market for sold properties has halved in 18 months and the results from some of our recent auctions strongly indicate that we are about to experience our strongest winter market for a decade.
As an interesting note, out of the 7 registered bidders for 12 New City Road, none were local.
There have also been a couple of big sales in Wategos Beach of over $5,000,000 during the month of May.
Who are the buyers? And where do they come from?
People from all over the country are moving into our communities and particularly young families from the cities and young creatives who want to start families.
Our open for inspection numbers are strong and our buyers are educated and committed to buying their piece of our world.
Schools and education are important considerations for many buyers as are all the creative events and activities available here.
People’s health and access to good food and organic produce also play an important role in people’s desire to move here.
Our community has evolved naturally and the organic evolution with farmers, surfers, yogis and musicians coming together in this special place, has no less appeal today than it did 30 years ago when I arrived here.
If you are thinking of selling your home to downgrade, upgrade or transition to another stage in your life, there has never been a better time than right now.
Please contact any of the sales team at BBFN if you need information or help.
