I met Tara and Paul at an open house inspection last October when my partner and I were having a casual look around at properties for sale. They immediately impressed us with their openness, knowledge of the local market and contacts in the industry such as town planners, builders, etc. It was evident that they place great importance on relationship building. Shortly after that first meeting, we mutually arranged a second to discuss our general situation - although at the time we were not active buyers or sellers. Shortly after, we decided to sell a property at Brunswick Heads. We naturally contacted Paul & Tara who gave us invaluable advice as to when & how best to present the property to the market. Their estimated price range proved to be well judged and we accepted their proposal that auction would be the best approach. In consultation with us (as was the case throughout the 5 week campaign) put together an excellent marketing plan. They met with us each week at our home for a detailed briefing on enquiries, negotiations and other developments with prospective buyers. They also diplomatically managed relations with tenants in the property who might be inconvenienced by the Open House arrangements. I had not sold a property for 20 years (in Sydney), so was grateful for Tara & Paul's understanding - particularly just after the property was listed when we received what seemed like a very good offer. I was quite nervous about losing that opportunity, but Tara & Paul's experience told them that holding out until the auction would bring the best outcome. At the same time, they reassured me that of course the final decision was mine & that they would facilitate a sale before auction if I wished. The auction itself, unsurprisingly, was brilliantly & professionally handled by First National & an excellent, very experienced auctioneer. The result was worth overcoming my initial nerves when the initial offer was made. Tara & Paul - as well as any other First National Byron Bay staff we have dealt with - have been completely professional, experienced, attentive, efficient & knowledgeable during the time we have been dealing with them.
